SIGNATURE GOAL REACHED: Petition to Rename App State’s Stadium in Honor of Jerry Moore *UPDATED*

Today we surpassed our goal of 500 signatures on the petition to rename Kidd-Brewer stadium in honor of Jerry Moore! As of 7:30PM on Tue it is at 505!

It took only 2 days to reach our signature goal! Unbelievable! In that time, the petition received attention from The Appalachian student newspaper. It also made waves on Twitter and Facebook!

Please, if you haven’t signed it yet, feel free to add your name! But now that our goal has been reached, what’s next?

I will now send the petition directly to Chancellor Peacock, AD Charlie Cobb, and the entire Board of Trustees! Additionally, I will try to send it to Jerry Moore himself, so he knows how much support he has! I will let everyone know if I get any responses.

I want you to know that we may not get the name of stadium of changed, but I hope we get something big named in honor of Jerry Moore. I would consider that a success. He put our school on the map and was an incredible role model for a lot of student athletes. He deserves it.

I want to personally thank everyone who took time out to sign the petition! Thanks for all of your help! It’s great to be a Mountaineer!
