Georgia Southern students are voting on a measure tomorrow that would increase student fees by $100 ($75 for a supposed FBS move, $25 for stadium expansion). I guess the outcome is in question because they went through the trouble of asking Lou Holtz to tape a segment urging students to vote in favor of the fee increases.
If Georgia Southern is ever going to go FBS they definitely need to expand their stadium and significantly increase their athletics budget. Also, moving their campus to Atlanta wouldn’t hurt.
Ummm…. Can we not get some big name person to do the same thing for us? If Georgia Southern can get Lou to record a message urging them to move up can we not at least get Mack Brown to do the same? At this point any boost in the marketing of our school and program has to help us get a spot up with the big boys! I suppose we will just continue to sit on our hands and watch our stock drop b/c Cobb is to lazy to do anything about it.
