The new Sportsnetwork FCS poll was released today. After beating Montana 35-27, we rose 3 spots to #8. We are now the highest ranked team in the SoCon. Montana only slipped 2 spots with the loss to #14.
NDSU took the #1 spot due to their 22-7 whooping of FBS Colorado State. Our next opponent, The Citadel jumped into the Top-25 with their upset victory over Georgia Southern.
I think Montana State is the overrated team of the week at #3, they haven’t beaten anyone yet. Youngstown State could be a little higher in my mind. Otherwise I think these rankings are pretty good. Even with a win over The Citadel we’ll need some teams above us to screw up if we are going to climb much higher. If we keep winning it will happen though.
