UPDATE: Unfortunately we ran a story reported by the High Country Press that claimed former Appalachian State star wrestler Austin Trotman would be competing in the Olympics. It was immediately pointed out by several people that he can’t be competing in the Olympics if he didn’t compete in the qualifiers. I emailed Ken Ketchie, editor of the High Country Press asking him about it. He replied:
Thanks John – we realize that now – and have taken down that story. We’ll make corrections to reflect the competition he will be competing in.
Thanks again -Ken Ketchie
So apparently he is competing in something, just not the Olympics. This was an extremely bad mistake on their part, since they actually quoted him as saying that he hopes to finish well at the Olympics. We’ll have to wait and see what happens with this. For my part, I apologize for any confusion my reposting of their story caused. I won’t be citing them as a source again anytime soon.

Wow, that’s a huge mistake on part of HCP. Thanks for the update, sucks I already told half my App friends.
