FOOTBALL RECRUITING: 2 USC Players *Possibly* Transferring to App State

Spurrier says Lamar Scruggs has transferred to Appalachian State.

App State spokesman says Lamar Scruggs and Eric Baker have not transferred there.

Lamar Scruggs has supposedly tweeted out that he is not going to Appalachian State as Spurrier said, but did not deny he is transferring.

So your guess is as good as mine if this is happening or not. But 2 SEC caliber players coming to App can only be a good thing. Hopefully it’s true.

    We have had only modest success with BCS transfers. I wouldn’t get too excited. There is usually a reason they transfer.
